A quick and delicious recipe for Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Pour this mixture over the beef and broccoli in the skillet.
  5. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. If desired, drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the honey garlic ground beef and broccoli over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option, or use tofu for a vegetarian version.
