- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons white miso paste
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, soy sauce, mirin, honey, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the miso glaze generously over the top of each fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha to the glaze.
- You can also substitute the salmon with other fish like cod or trout for a different flavor profile.
