Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sterilize your 1-quart heatproof pitcher by rinsing it with boiling water and ensure it is dry.
  2. Layer the dried culinary lavender and robust black tea leaves in the prepared pitcher.
  3. Heat 4 cups of water to 195–205°F and pour it over the lavender and tea mixture. Cover immediately.
  4. Steep for 10 minutes, monitoring the time to avoid bitterness.
  5. Remove the infuser or tea bags without squeezing them. Stir in your preferred sweetener.
  6. Cool to room temperature (about 20 minutes) then refrigerate for at least 75 minutes.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon slices.
