Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing or lining with parchment paper.
  2. Soak breadcrumbs in enough milk to cover them for about 5 minutes to maintain moisture.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine soaked breadcrumbs with ground beef, chopped onion, bell pepper, eggs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce; mix gently.
  4. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf about 8 inches long and 4 inches wide, then place into the prepared pan.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together ketchup, balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Reserve half for later.
  6. Spread half of the glaze on top of the meatloaf, then bake for 45 minutes until the glaze is caramelized.
  7. Brush the remaining glaze over the meatloaf and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
