- Press the tofu by wrapping it in clean kitchen towels and placing a heavy object on top for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the balsamic reduction by combining balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, and minced garlic in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
- Slice the pressed tofu into 1-inch thick cubes. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the tofu without moving it for 4-5 minutes until golden.
- Flip the tofu and cook for another 4-5 minutes until crispy. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle the balsamic reduction over the tofu and cook for another minute.
- Add fresh herbs just before serving to enhance the flavor.
