  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Gluten-free works for dietary restrictions
  • 3 cloves Minced Garlic Using fresh garlic will maximize taste
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil and Parsley Dried herbs can be used as a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For searing the braciole
For the Marinara Sauce
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Homemade or store-bought

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pound the flank steak thin to about ¼ inch thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine spinach, ricotta, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic, and basil in a bowl to make the filling.
  4. Spread the filling over the steak, roll it tightly, and secure with toothpicks or twine.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear the braciole for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over the braciole and cover with a lid or foil.
  7. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until cooked through to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let the braciole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve sliced braciole with additional marinara sauce.
