Method
- In a blender, combine the fresh blueberries and basil leaves. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the solids. Use a spoon to press down on the mixture to extract as much juice as possible.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey or agave syrup to the blueberry-basil juice. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Slowly pour in the sparkling water or club soda, stirring gently to combine.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mocktail over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and additional basil leaves.
