Preparation Steps
- Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Add half of the cubed French bread or brioche to the baking dish.
- Scatter half of the blueberries over the bread, followed by half of the cream cheese cubes.
- Add the remaining bread cubes, then top with the rest of the blueberries and cream cheese.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Pour the custard mixture over the layered ingredients, pressing down gently for saturation. Soak for 30 minutes or overnight.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving, dust with powdered sugar if desired.
