Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, and dried Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  3. Rest the chicken for at least 5 minutes on a plate covered loosely with foil.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds before adding cherry tomatoes.
  5. Cook the tomatoes for 5-7 minutes until softened and bursting.
  6. If using chicken broth, deglaze the skillet by adding it and simmering for 2 minutes.
