Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl.
  2. Melt semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla and melted chocolate.
  4. Beat in egg and egg yolk until combined and fluffy.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients. Fold in white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Cover dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  8. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  9. Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are set. Let cool on sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
