Ingredients

  • 8 large chocolate croissants cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add the cut croissant pieces to the egg mixture and gently fold until the croissants are well coated. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the croissants to soak up the liquid.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
