- Pour the ice cream base into the ice cream maker canister, insert the dasher, secure the lid, and prepare the ice and rock salt.
- Layer ice around the canister and sprinkle in rock salt as directed by the ice cream maker's instructions.
- Start the ice cream maker and churn the mixture for about 20 to 40 minutes until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container, smooth the top, seal it tightly, and freeze for 1-2 hours.
