Cooking Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, combine 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 cup of marinara sauce over medium heat. Stir gently for 3-5 minutes until blended and just begins to simmer.
- Reduce heat to low, gradually stir in 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Carefully add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a small amount of reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Let the pasta sit in the skillet for 2-3 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Portion the Pink Alfredo Pasta into warm bowls or plates. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and basil.
