Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the baguette into 12 equal pieces, about half an inch thick. Arrange on a baking sheet and toast for 5 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Wash and chop the strawberries until you have about ½ cup. Lay them on paper towels to absorb excess moisture.
  3. In a saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and brown sugar over medium heat. Simmer for about 6-8 minutes until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat, let cool, and mix chopped strawberries with lemon zest and balsamic reduction.
  5. Spread ricotta cheese on toasted baguette slices and top with the balsamic strawberry mixture.
  6. Serve immediately to maintain crispness.
