  • 1 loaf Cuban Bread Sourdough or French bread can be used.
For the Garlic Butter
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Softened
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced, fresh preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Chopped
For the Filling
  • 8 ounces Smoked Ham Can substitute with turkey
  • 4 ounces Salami or Roasted Pork Choose your favorite protein
  • 4 ounces Mozzarella or Swiss Cheese Avoid hard cheeses
  • 1 cup Pickle Slices Can substitute with sliced jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard Can substitute with Dijon mustard

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, and freshly chopped parsley. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  2. Slice the Cuban bread lengthwise and brush the cut sides with the garlic butter mixture.
  3. Spread a layer of yellow mustard on the bottom half of each bread slice.
  4. Layer smoked ham, salami, or roasted pork on top of the mustard, followed by pickle slices and cheese.
  5. Place the top half of the bread over the fillings and press down gently.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat for about 3–4 minutes.
  7. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and grill for 3–4 minutes, pressing down gently.
  8. Flip the sandwiches carefully and grill for an additional 3–4 minutes.
  9. Remove from the skillet and let them rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
