Ingredients

For the Salad
  • 2 cups Cherry Tomatoes Substitute with diced regular tomatoes for a different texture
  • 1 large English Cucumber No peeling required; garden cucumbers are a great substitute
  • 1 medium Ripe Avocado Swap with a scoop of hummus for a lighter option
  • 1 cup Fresh Mozzarella Pearls Cubed mozzarella can be used instead or omit for a dairy-free version
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil Replace with parsley or other herbs if needed
For the Dressing
  • 2 cloves Crushed Garlic Fresh garlic is recommended for depth of flavor
  • 3 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar Lemon juice can be a zesty alternative

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • large salad bowl
  • small mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Tongs

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by washing the cherry tomatoes thoroughly and placing them on a cutting board. Using a sharp knife, slice each tomato in half, and place them in a large salad bowl.
  2. Rinse the large English cucumber under cool water. Slice it into rounds or half-moons and add it to the salad bowl.
  3. Cut open the ripe avocado, scoop out the insides, and cut them into bite-sized chunks. Add the avocado pieces to the salad bowl.
  4. Add the fresh mozzarella pearls to the salad bowl, pouring them gently over the other ingredients.
  5. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the crushed garlic and balsamic vinegar until well blended.
  6. Pour the balsamic garlic dressing over the salad, tossing gently to combine without smashing the avocado.
  7. Serve the salad immediately for the best flavor and texture.
