  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 cup whipped cream optional

Method
 

Pancake Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly with butter or oil.
  5. Pour batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, if desired.
