Pancake Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, red food coloring, and sugar.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Heat a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly with butter or oil.
- Pour batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, if desired.
