Ingredients

For the Bake
  • 6 croissants Croissants Use already baked croissants for the best texture.
  • 1 cup Strawberries Fresh strawberries add sweetness; substitute with any seasonal berries.
  • 1 cup Blueberries Juicy blueberries enhance flavor; blackberries make a great replacement.
  • 1 cup Raspberries Optional but provide a lovely tartness; feel free to omit.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese A creamy binding agent that adds richness.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Sweetens the dish; adjust to taste.
  • 1 cup Milk Non-dairy milks work too.
  • 4 Eggs For a vegan option, use flax eggs.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. Break the croissants into bite-sized pieces and evenly distribute them across the bottom of your greased baking dish. Scatter the fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries over the top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy, then add in the granulated sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  4. Pour the batter evenly over the layered croissants and berries in your baking dish.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap or foil and chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes, or up to 14 hours.
  6. Remove the cover and bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, optionally with powdered sugar or syrup.
