  • 1 stalk Celery Diced; substitute with cucumber if preferred
  • 1 whole Jalapeño Finely diced; can be omitted
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Sliced, include both green and white parts
For the Dressing
  • 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise (Kewpie preferred) Greek yogurt can be used as a lighter option
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce Adjust to desired spice level
  • 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar Apple cider vinegar can be substituted
  • 1 tablespoon Low Sodium Soy Sauce Tamari works for gluten-free version

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Drain the canned tuna thoroughly using a fine-mesh strainer.
  2. Place the drained tuna in a medium mixing bowl and break it apart with a fork.
  3. Finely dice the celery and jalapeño, and slice the green onions.
  4. Add the diced celery, jalapeño, and green onions to the bowl with the tuna.
  5. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Mix until smooth.
  6. Pour the dressing over the tuna and vegetables and mix until evenly coated.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting as necessary.
  8. Chill the salad for about 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve the salad on a bed of sliced cucumbers or with tortilla chips.
