  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Drizzling this helps achieve that smoky char; avocado oil works great too.
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt Essential for enhancing the natural sweetness of the peppers.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper Freshly ground gives a burst of flavor; adjust to your spice preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Optional, adds Italian flair; thyme or Italian seasoning can be swapped.
  • 1 clove Garlic Optional, mincing this and adding post-grill amplifies flavor.

Equipment

  • Grill or Grill Pan

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Grilled Peppers
  1. Wash and dry the bell peppers thoroughly. Slice each pepper in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes.
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the halved peppers and coat evenly. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and dried oregano if desired.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the pepper halves skin-side down on the grill. Grill for approximately 5-7 minutes until char marks appear.
  5. Flip the peppers so the flesh side is down and grill for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender.
  6. Transfer to a serving plate. Optionally, sprinkle minced garlic over the grilled peppers while warm.
