  • 1 10.5 oz can Condensed Cream of Celery Soup Substitute with mushroom or chicken soup if desired.
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Cheddar Cheese Soup Can be replaced with a homemade cheese sauce for a fresher taste.
  • 1 28 oz bag Frozen Cubed Potatoes with Onion and Bell Peppers Fresh diced potatoes can be used but will require additional cooking time.
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese Use any cheese blend or a sharp cheddar for a more intense flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and prepare your workspace.
  2. In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of lean ground beef over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes until brown. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, frozen cubed potatoes, cream of celery soup, cream of cheddar cheese soup, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixed ingredients into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish and spread evenly with a spatula.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
