Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add 1 diced onion and 2 chopped celery stalks, sautéing for 5-6 minutes until fragrant and soft.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the pot, breaking it apart. Cook for 6-8 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper until browned.
  3. Stir in 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add 1 can of diced tomatoes, 1 can of tomato sauce, and 4 cups of beef broth. Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Once simmering, reduce heat to low and cover the pot. Let cook for 25-30 minutes.
