Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, season with salt, black pepper, and paprika, and cook until the onions are translucent.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish, followed by half of the meat mixture and half of the soup mixture.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining potatoes, meat, and soup.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil, add cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
