Cooking Steps
- Cut the beef into uniform cubes, season with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, ginger, and cooking oil, and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a pot, heat oil and sauté cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Then incorporate garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5-8 minutes until they are soft.
- Add marinated beef and residual spices from the bowl, stirring to coat the beef.
- Pour in enough warm water to cover the beef and season with salt, stirring well.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with chopped coriander before serving.
