Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 kg Beef (chuck, round, or leg) Cut into uniform cubes
For the Base
  • 1 large Onion Chopped
  • 4 medium Tomatoes Chopped
  • 4 cloves Garlic Grated or garlic paste
  • 1 inch Ginger Fresh grated or ginger paste
For the Spices
  • 2 tablespoons Chilli Powder Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Stick
  • 3-4 Bay Leaves
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Cooking Oil Ghee or unsalted butter
  • 1-2 cups Warm Water To cover the beef
  • to taste Salt
For Garnish
  • 1 bunch Coriander Fresh, chopped

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Cut the beef into uniform cubes, season with salt, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala, ginger, and cooking oil, and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pot, heat oil and sauté cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, and bay leaves for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Then incorporate garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5-8 minutes until they are soft.
  5. Add marinated beef and residual spices from the bowl, stirring to coat the beef.
  6. Pour in enough warm water to cover the beef and season with salt, stirring well.
  7. Cover and simmer on low heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander before serving.
