Ingredients

For the Bread
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour Can substitute with whole wheat flour for a denser texture.
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon Optional for those preferring a spice-free loaf.
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder Ensure freshness for the best rise.
  • 1 tsp Baking soda Works with the bananas’ acidity to help bread rise.
  • 1/2 tsp Salt Enhances the flavors of all ingredients; no substitute necessary.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter Switch to coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar White sugar works too but with less flavor depth.
  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter Natural varieties can be used but may alter texture.
  • 2 Eggs For a vegan option, flax eggs can be used.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract Recommended for added depth.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream Greek yogurt is a good substitute.
  • 3 Mashed bananas Use very ripe bananas for optimal sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts Optional; can be replaced by chocolate chips.
