  • 1 teaspoon Salt Kosher or table salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Freshly cracked
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Can be swapped with fresh onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Barbecue Sauce Optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Create a small thumb indent in each patty.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  5. Check that the internal temperature of the patties reaches 160°F (71°C). Cook longer if necessary.
  6. If desired, add cheese to the patties during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Remove the patties from the air fryer, let them rest for a minute, and then serve with your choice of toppings.
