- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chuck, ranch dressing mix, chopped bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix thoroughly but avoid overworking the meat.
- Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties about ½ inch thick.
- Preheat the grill or pan over medium-high heat, aiming for around 375°F. Arrange the patties on the grill surface.
- Cook the burgers for approximately 5-6 minutes on one side without flipping until golden brown, then flip and cook another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with an extra slice of cheddar cheese and cover to melt.
- Remove the patties, let rest for a minute, and serve on toasted buns with toppings.
