Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 1 cup broccoli florets steamed
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour this sauce over the cooked beef, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over a bed of cooked white rice. Top with steamed broccoli, sliced green onions, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
