- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter until completely liquid. Mix in 1 cup of brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to the mixture. Stir until fully integrated.
