- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sliced strawberries with 1/4 cup sugar and let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Using a hand mixer, beat the softened cream cheese with 3/4 cup sugar and the vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine yellow cake mix, melted butter, 1 cup of milk, and a pinch of salt. Stir until just mixed.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the greased dish. Dollop the cream cheese mixture and marinated strawberries on top.
- Spread the remaining cake batter over the strawberry and cream cheese layer.
