Preparation Steps
  1. Thinly slice 1–1.5 pounds of flank steak or sirloin against the grain.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, and spices to make the marinade.
  3. Coat the sliced beef thoroughly in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil, then cook marinated beef in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Slice fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce while the beef cooks.
  6. In the same skillet, lightly heat pita or flatbreads for about 30 seconds on each side.
  7. To assemble, lay the warm bread flat, add the cooked beef, sliced vegetables, and desired sauce, then wrap.
