Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef along with the finely diced yellow onion. Cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Remove the skillet from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom halves in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Distribute the cooked beef mixture over the bottom half of the rolls, then layer dill pickle slices and cheddar cheese slices on top.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, and onion powder. Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove foil for the last 2-3 minutes.
- Allow to cool slightly for about 5 minutes, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.
