Ingredients

For the Ravioli
  • 12 oz Cheese Ravioli Use fresh or frozen ravioli; adjust cooking time as needed for frozen.
For the Steak
  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak (cubed) This protein source can be substituted with ribeye, strip steak, or tenderloin.
For the Sauce
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter Adds richness; for a lighter version, use 2 tbsp butter and half-and-half.
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin olive oil works best.
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic Using fresh garlic gives a more potent flavor than powdered versions.
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream Substitutable with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated is preferred for better texture.
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat; adjust quantity based on spice preference.
For Garnish
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Fresh Parsley Can also swap with chives or basil for a flavor twist.

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • large skillet
  • Colander

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Drop in the cheese ravioli and cook for 3-4 minutes until they float. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  2. Season the cubed sirloin steak with salt and pepper. In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add remaining butter. Stir in garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream, stir constantly, and gradually add Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  4. Return the cooked ravioli and seared steak to the skillet. Toss in the sauce and heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Taste for seasoning and adjust if needed. Serve immediately, garnishing with parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
