- In a large cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add broccoli florets to the skillet, cooking undisturbed for 3-4 minutes.
- Gently stir and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Pour in a splash of water, cover with a lid, and steam for 2 minutes.
- Remove lid, add garlic, and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
