  • 6 slices Provolone Cheese mozzarella or cheddar are alternatives
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce or spinach/arugula as substitutes
  • 1 large Tomato sliced; cherry tomatoes can also work
  • 1 small Red Onion thinly sliced; green onions can substitute
  • 0.5 cup Banana Peppers sliced; jalapeños for extra spice
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil avocado oil is a nice alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning mix of oregano, thyme, and basil can be used
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Red Pepper Flakes optional, for extra spice

Method
 

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette or sub roll in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Drizzle olive oil on the inside surfaces of the bread.
  4. Layer the salami, ham, and pepperoni on the bottom half of the bread.
  5. Cover the meats with provolone cheese.
  6. Add the shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onion, and banana peppers on top.
  7. Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the vegetables.
  8. Place the top half of the bread on and wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove the sandwich from the oven, unwrap, slice, and serve warm.
