Step-by-Step Instructions for BBQ Ribs on the Grill
  1. Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs using a sharp knife, gripping the membrane with a paper towel for better traction.
  2. Preheat your grill to a medium temperature of approximately 300°F.
  3. Generously season both sides of the ribs with brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Place the seasoned ribs on the grill over indirect heat, grill for 1.5 to 2 hours, turning every 20 minutes.
  5. Mix BBQ sauce, ground chipotle pepper, balsamic vinegar, and honey in a bowl to make the sauce.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of grilling, brush a generous layer of barbecue sauce over the ribs.
  7. Remove the ribs from the grill and allow them to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
