Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine equal parts jalapeños, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring gently until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and strain out the jalapeños, allowing the syrup to cool.
  2. Take a margarita or cocktail glass and rim it with a lime wedge, then dip the rim into salt or Tajin.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine the jalapeño syrup, lime juice, and orange juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
