Step-by-Step Instructions for Pineapple Iced Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a kettle until it reaches about 200°F (93°C). Allow to rest for 30 seconds.
  2. Add 4-6 black tea bags or 4 tablespoons of loose black tea to the hot water. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the tea bags or strain the loose tea, then stir in ¼ to ½ cup of honey or sugar while warm until dissolved.
  4. Allow sweetened tea to cool to room temperature for 15-20 minutes or shake in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  5. Mix in 1 to 2 cups of pineapple juice, adjusting sweetness as needed.
  6. Fill tall, chilled glasses with ice cubes and pour the sweetened tea mixture over the ice.
